Women's Soccer: Signs Another Local Top Recruit

After finishing 2010 with a perfect 10-0 season, the
Mount Royal University Women's Soccer signs another top recruit for the 2011 class.  "This year has been one of our better years of prospects.  As our program improves and becomes more comprehensive, we continually are looking to gain the best players to our program."  I am a believer that you don't have to leave the city to play a high level of female soccer. We can compete with the larger schools. -- Coach Fusco.

We are very happy to have Kelsey Kinzner commit to the women's program.  After some stressful decisions of what school to attend - we are delighted to have Kelsey choose MRU as her school of choice.

Kelsey is strong academically and these are the type of student athletes we are looking to bring into our program.

Along with her academics, Kelsey plays in the top youth tier in Calgary.  She will be finishing her U18 eligibility with the Calgary Foothills Soccer Club; a four-time National Championship program as she prepares for the fall preseason with MRU.

Kelsey will look to earn a major role in the attacking play of the Cougars attack.  "Kelsey is a smart player, she has the ability to play with both feet and a good understanding of the game."  --- Coach Fusco.

Kelsey, a former recruit of the Calgary National Training Centre and Alberta Provincial Program, will definitely be able to come into our program and make an impact in the classroom and the pitch.
